The Best All Access Pass

When we think of an “all access pass” it usually means paying extra for something that is limited to the general public.  It could be special features on a web page, a visit backstage to meet a guest speaker or star or even extra hours and perks at a theme park.  Did you know that a large majority of  people are living with limited access to all of the blessings God wants to give them?

From the very beginning of time God wanted to have a relationship with humankind but sin separated us from His presence.  He is holy, pure and righteous and cannot entertain any sin.  But He loved us so much He made a way and there is only ONE WAY to get access to His presence to obtain blessings, strength and peace.

John 14:6     Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

What Does All  Access Mean?

ALL means the whole quantity or amount of, totatality.

ACCESS means 1. the act of approaching or entering  2. the condition of allowing entry   3. the right or privilege to approach, reach, enter or make use of something.

FULL ACCESS means the user has access to an entire system and all of its features with no restrictions.

In the Bible, all the people including the priests were separated from God’s presence by a large seamless curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple. The High Priest was only allowed to enter the Holy of Holies once a year, after many special sacrifices to make atonement (reparation)for the people and there were many restrictions.  Atonement provided a temporary forgiveness and peace with God.  When Jesus died on the cross that curtain was torn in half. All access is personally granted because His sacrificial death paid the full penalty for our sin forever. We can come before our holy God forgiven and free.

How Much Does It Cost?

It cost God everything. Jesus His only Son shed His blood on the cross for our sins.  Grace is favor, forgiveness and blessings, we don’t deserve.  We cannot earn salvation and eternal life.  God does not have a scale that weighs our good and bad actions to see if we are “good enough”to get to heaven.  The Bible clearly states that we have all sinned.

Ephesians 2:8–9    For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

What is Included?

The Holy Spirit lives within us to strengthen and to guide, we are never alone.  There are many promises for us when we become children of God but the greatest is the hope of eternity in heaven. Here are a just few of the benefits.

John 14:15–17   And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

Ephesians 2:17–18  And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near.  For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.

John 14:2     In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?

What’s the Catch?

There is only one way to gain all access to His unending resources and that is to believe in Who HE Is , confess our sin and ask for His gift of forgiveness.

Romans 10:8–10     But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
